Today I baked my most difficult Holiday cookie: Almond Jam Cookies. These are a pain in the ass because each cookie has to be rolled into a ball, then flattened, then a thumbprint is made, then you fill it with jam. I much prefer drop cookies that you can scoop out with a disher. That's what I'll be making for my next cookie: mint chocolate chip. So the hardest part of holiday baking it done. The next hardest part will be done Friday, then I just have to make a bunch of breads in the bread maker.
I also photoshopped our holiday photo and made it into a cool postcard for H to print out. It's badly done in a hilarious way, and feature H and I from our set engagement photos, altered to look more Christmassy. I'll be posting it when it's closer to the actual holidays.

It occurs to me that it is almost January. That means the following shows are coming back:

My Holiday shopping is almost done. I still have to wait for some things for H to arrive in the mail. Columbia House is taking their sweet time sending out our copy of Dark Knight. They really suck as far as customer service goes. They just don't give a damn. I also have to make something for my Secret Santa person. It has to be something you made, so it will either be a hat, a CD, or a copy of one of my books. I won't know until Monday when I draw my name.
